Christmas Eve Service 2018
Your Kingdom Comes
Isaiah 9: 2-7
Prelude: Once in Royal David’s City (instrumental)
Info: I purchased this one off of JW Pepper blindly since they didn’t have a preview to listen but it should be okay. Horn trio for a prelude piece to set the scene of the place the King came.
Prepare Him Room
Info: Song of preparation for our hearts to enter into the darkness of the room and of the day and make way for his light and his love to find its way into our hearts and minds as we begin our time in worship.
It Came Upon A Midnight Clear
Info: Adoration song remembering that God’s promises from old are kept. At the darkest of days, when the fullness of time had come, the Gospel message broke through first announced by the angels who lit up the dark sky.
Angels We Have Heard On High
Info: Adoration song in which we hear the song of the angels who declare the King’s praise and we join in the song of His glory.
In the Bleak Midwinter
Info: instrumental horn piece to serve as a song for confession of sin in which we remember the stoniness of our hearts and the way in which God transformed our hearts from stone to flesh.
Fullness of Grace
Info: Confession and assurance song in which we sing of the love of the Father seen and demonstrated in the birth, the life, the death and the resurrection of our Savior. He is grace in its fullness.
He Who Is Mighty
Info: Response and thanksgiving song celebrating the lifting of our shame and guilt and burden through the work of a Mighty King.
O Holy Night
Info: Our souls sing and rejoice that we see our worth in the coming of our King. We fall in worship as we hear the song of the angels again and celebrate the light which broke through and the chains in which he has broken in us.
Info: We have peace with God through the light of Christ. We lift his light in the darkness for the world to see - there is hope only in Him!
